Four members of the Wincanton staff have made it through to the final stage of the 2020 Amazon Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.

The finalists are spread across four award categories - freight, the supply chain, infrastructure and apprenticeships - and represent some of the most outstanding individuals working in transport and logistics today.

The list of Wincanton finalists is as follows:

  • The Freight Award – Above and Beyond: Hollie Ridley, Transport Team Leader, Wincanton
  • The Infrastructure Award – Above and Beyond: Kayleigh Sutcliffe, Compliance Manager - EDF Contract, Wincanton
  • The Supply Chain Award - Leader: Tracey Clifford, Head of Home Fulfilment, Wincanton
  • Apprentice of the Year*: Callum Bartlett, Apprentice, Wincanton

The awards shine a light on the progression and successes of all women in the logistics industry and the work they do to blaze a trail for other women looking to join the still male-dominated sector.

Sally Austin, chief HR officer at Wincanton, said:

“Congratulations to all our Wincanton colleagues who were rightly recognised as worthy finalists. This recognition demonstrates our significant commitment to encouraging and promoting female talent in Wincanton and our broader industry. We are very proud of each of their stories and wish them the best of luck for the final.

"We are incredibly proud to be part of these awards and celebrate the development and progression of female talent in our industry. Wincanton aspires to develop a culture where our people feel valued, enabling them to be at their best. Creating an inclusive working environment is vital in ensuring we attract and retain the best talent possible."

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London 06 October 2020 at Grosvenor House London.

* The Apprentice of the Year is awarded to any male or female apprentice excelling in transport and logistics
