Nikki received her award from HRH Princess Anne, alongside Logistics UK chief executive David Wells, who said that Nikki was a Rising Star who had the potential to lead the industry into the next decade and beyond. The Logistics UK Rising Star Award recognises an individual who has created significant impact in the logistics industry in the early stages of their career. In giving the award, the UK-wide trade body recognised Nikki for generating exceptional results, making an impact and being ‘truly class leading’.
Prior to joining the Wincanton for Screwfix Lichfield team in the summer of 2021, Nikki led the Wincanton for Roper Rhodes team; a transformational partnership that has delivered exceptional results since its inception.
Nikki is an active advocate for diversity and inclusion, regularly mentors’ colleagues and is an advocate for career opportunities for women in logistics. Commenting on her win, Nikki said: “I’m so thrilled to win this prestigious award. I could not have done it without the dedication and commitment of all the amazing people I work with at Wincanton. I’d like to thank them for helping me grow and develop in my career. At Wincanton we’re recognised internally for our achievements, but to be recognised nationally at the Logistics UK Awards is fantastic.”
