The deal agreed in April of this year, sees Homebase benefit from Wincanton’s extensive eFulfilment CMS proposition, helping create a positive customer experience by enabling better communication regarding items ordered for home delivery.
The service will allow Wincanton to manage over 300,000 customer deliveries from Homebase distribution centres in the first year of operation.
Stuart Tosh, Director of Distribution at Homebase, said:
"We’re committed to providing the best customer service, however people decide to shop with Homebase. We're already getting a positive response from customers, who are now able to track their order and leave instructions for the delivery driver. It's also helping us work more effectively, giving us greater visibility of stock throughout the whole process."
Paul Durkin, Director of Home & eFulfilment at Wincanton, added:
"Having agreed the deal several months ago, we are excited to begin providing Homebase with our first-class customer order delivery service.
"We will deliver a powerful blend of Wincanton experience and data. This combination means we are well placed to transform Homebase’s customer delivery experience and grow their business."
